PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) Syntax

PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) is a scripting language that runs on computers, mainly used for processing dynamic web pages. It also includes a command line interface (CLI) or can produce graphical user interface (GUI) applications.

PHP was invented by Danish programmer Rasmus Lerdorf in 1995, and its standards are now maintained by the PHP Group and the open-source community. PHP uses the PHP License as its license agreement, but this agreement restricts the use of the PHP name, making it incompatible with the open-source GPL license.

PHP has a wide range of applications, especially in web programming development. Generally, PHP is mostly executed on web servers, generating web pages that users browse by executing PHP code. PHP can run on most servers and operating systems, and using PHP is completely free. According to statistics from April 2007, PHP has been installed on over 20 million web pages and 1 million servers.
